Kelly Michelle Stables was born in St. Louis Missouri where she was a performer in The Muny Opera. The University of Missouri Columbia conferred her with a degree of cum laude in Theatre and Communication. Her career began as a performer in Los Angeles as a theater performer and choreographer, choreographing over 20 plays and musicals. These included The Little Foxes Brady Bunch The Musical Peter Pan and The Thousand Oaks Civic Light Opera's The Musical Peter Pan. She also performed seven titles at Los Angeles' Storybook Theatre. Kelly was able to secure the roles for films and TV when she was studying improvisations in The Groundlings. Her distinct voice and diminutive stature has allowed her to perform a range of bright characters. The most famous character she has played is Naomi Watts' evil Samara in The Ring 2, but her most well-known role is as the charming receptionist from Two and a Half Men. Kelly had a role as an ongoing series on TV Land's The Exes, where she played a party-hopper and paralegal during the day. Additionally, she played Alyssa's smart sexpert sister on ABC's Romantically Challenged. On the CW's No Tomorrow she portrayed the stress-stricken suburban mom. She's lent her soprano singing voice to several cartoons such as Doc McStuffins Tom & Jerry and Sofia the First. Recently, she was seen as the lovable, dim-witted Cloud 9 Employee on NBC's popular comedy Superstore. Her private life is quiet. She enjoys spending time with her family, including two children.
